The Stock Value Calculation feature in myBillBook allows users to calculate their inventory's total stock value based on either the sales price or the purchase price of items. This helps businesses evaluate inventory costs and profits effectively, providing a more tailored view depending on their accounting preferences.

How to Set Up and Use the Stock Value Calculation Feature

Step 1: Access the Item Dashboard

  1. Log in to your myBillBook account.

  2. Navigate to the Items section from the main dashboard.

Step 2: Open Item Settings

  1. Click on the Item Settings button located in the top-left corner of the Item Dashboard.

Step 3: Select the Stock Value Calculation Method

  1. In the Item Settings menu, locate the Stock Value Calculation field.

  2. From the dropdown, choose your preferred method:

    • Sales Price: Calculates stock value based on the sales price of items.

    • Purchase Price: Calculates stock value based on the purchase price of items.

  3. Click Save to apply the changes.

Step 4: Refresh and Verify

  1. Refresh the page to update the stock value calculations.

  2. Check the Total Stock Value displayed in the top-left corner of the Item Dashboard to confirm the updated value.

Step 5: View Individual Item Stock Value

  1. Select any item from the inventory list.

  2. On the left-hand side, below the item name, find the Stock Value reflecting the chosen calculation method.
