Overview

myBillBook’s SharedLedger Portal feature makes it effortless for your customers to access all their invoices, outstanding balances, and your online catalog — with just one link.

When you share an invoice through WhatsApp or any other platform, the recipient is redirected to the portal where they can view the shared invoice, log in with their registered mobile number, and access their complete transaction history in real time.

This feature simplifies invoice sharing, reduces customer follow-ups, speeds up payments, and helps your business look more professional.

Accessing Customer Portal (Party Link)

Multiple Entry Points:

Method 1:

  • Navigate to Parties from the sidebar.

  • Select the party for which you want to share the portal.

  • Click on “Share Party Portal Link”.

  • Share the generated link via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.

Method 2:

  • Go to Sales → Sales Invoice.

  • Open any existing invoice.

  • Click on “Share Invoice”.

  • The shared invoice link will automatically redirect customers to the Customer Portal.

Launching the Customer Portal (Customer Side)

Once your customer clicks the shared link:

  1. They’ll land on the Customer Portal view.

  2. If they’re opening an invoice link, the shared invoice will be displayed first.

  3. If they click on the Portal Link, they’ll be prompted to log in using their mobile number (the same number saved in your myBillBook party record).

  4. Once authenticated, they get complete access to their personal portal dashboard.

Using the Customer Portal Dashboard

Portal Dashboard Sections:

  1. Invoices Tab

    • Displays all past and current invoices shared with the customer.

    • Customers can view invoice number, amount, and payment status.

  2. Balance Receivable / Payable

    • Shows total outstanding balance with real-time updates.

    • Clicking this section opens the Ledger View where they can see payment history and pending amounts.

  3. Online Catalog / Store

    • “Shop More” button redirects the customer to your Online Store Catalog.

    • Customers can browse and place new orders directly from this view.

  4. My Profile

    • Displays customer details such as Name, Mobile Number, Address, and GSTIN (if applicable).

Managing Customer Access

  • Only customers whose mobile numbers are saved under Party details can log in to view their entire transaction history.

  • Customers opening the link without logging in will only see the shared invoice.

  • Once logged in, they can revisit the link anytime to view updated invoices and balances.
